it’s enough of a challenge to actually drag your butt to the gym, never mind managing to look presentable after. but sometimes you’ve got to schedule in an early-morning run or fitness class before work to make the most out of your spare time. plus, we all know getting in a workout is a great start to the day.

but what happens when you have to dash right from your gym to a work meeting? we’ve put together a few tips to get you from your spinning class to board meeting with limited fuss.

wash your face

save some time in your post-workout shower to cleanse your face properly. it’s important to get rid of all the sweat and oils built up during exercise to let your skin breath and prevent blemishes. hint: dermologica do some great miniatures you can pick up in any 10spot. if you don’t have time for cleanser, a face wipe will do in a pinch.

make-up

keep it simple on the make-up front. you’ll have a natural glow from working out that no blush and highlight can hold a match to. we like to keep our gym make-up bag minimal with just mascara, brow pencil, lipstick and some powder to combat shine.

if we had to express our love for dry shampoo in an emoji, it would be that one where both eyes are hearts. as in, we looooove it. not only will it soak up any any oil or sweat lingering from your workout, it also adds some much needed lift to your roots and refreshes your whole style. top tip: make sure your hair is dry before you apply to avoid a tell-tale white paste forming on your scalp (the horror!) by blasting it with a hair dryer first. once you’ve spritzed, work your fingers through your hair to distribute the product and comb out.

well duh. we know you’re not going to rock up to that breakfast meeting in your gym clothes, but it is a good idea to give some thought to what you’re going to wear right after working out. opt for something loose and easy to get into – noone wants to see you struggle to get into skinny jeans in the steamy locker room.
