My technician was lovely and did an outstanding job. But, as an interior designer I saw that the space could use a few tweaks. One, there's no place to put your things if you want them beside you -- like a coffee. I think that some storage/wall hooks on the wall across from the chairs could alleviate the necessity of looking around to find a place to hang your coat. I use a cane and getting up and down stairs is a barrier to me. Initially, my technician looked annoyed when I asked her. ?? I don't see that as intrusive. And the white wall, while lovely and clean-looking, could have a dynamic (vinyl) wallpaper that would be more entertaining. I looked around to see if there was coffee. Not seeing any, I carried on .. until my technician asked me if I'd like one, which I certainly did. While the coffee was good and there was cream, no one asked if I would also like sugar and I just didn't want to ask someone to fetch it. Finally, I had to almost press the issue of other available services and actually had to ask for a brochure. I don't expect that the people providing the mani/pedi services are schooled in 'upselling' and I certainly don't want to be 'hustled' but as a former retailer, it does seem like a real missed opportunity. A very pleasant experience overall but I felt I had to work harder than I would preferred. It is, after all, not an inexpensive pedicure and on that particular day, the place was almost empty.
