They are closing as of May 1st, which is a bummer since they’ve been my go to place for about 2 years now. I’ve had various nail techs throughout that time due to the constant turnover here, which seems somewhat characteristic of the industry. Jamie is an OG though and has been there since the opening. She has been my latest nail tech and I always enjoy my sessions with her. Giselle is also very awesome with facials and waxing… a nurturing and warm soul.
The freebie memberships this place has had are a game-changer! It’s like regular pampering/self-care I have to schedule for myself.
The service and minimalist/clean atmosphere gets 5 stars but I’m taking off a star because of corporate (who took over ownership after the former local owners decided to get out) running this place into the ground and closing it with only a week’s notice to the manager and employees after actively trying to hire new people just shortly before. I don’t know that I’ll ever go to a Ten Spot again for this reason - questionable business practices that don’t take care of your employees. I also annoyed there’s been no official email to clients, just a rapid shutdown of the booking system, announcement of an inventory sale, and a weird maybe automated referrals email as though we should be referring people to them 3 days before closing. All of this has been poorly handled and I don’t blame the managers and staff as they’re all victims in this too now looking for a new way to earn their livelihood.
You’ll be missed Fort Collins team! But corporate, take some notes… maybe you would’ve better retained staff if you had treated them a little better.
